You get an itemised written quote that separates preparation, the system or repair proposed, detailing around windows and sills, and scaffolding. On site the preparation is done first and properly, each coat is given its curing time, and the job ends with inspection, sign-off and warranty paperwork.

Not necessarily. Contained damage on an otherwise sound wall can often be repaired. If it is failing across the whole elevation or has been patched repeatedly, a full re-render is usually better value once scaffolding is counted. We inspect before advising.
